The (Former) Guitarist

It sounds like it’s got all the makings of a human tragedy: a great guitarist has a stroke and loses the use of his left hand. His left hand, man! The one that danced up and down the fretboard like a crab on speed! Losing his right would have been bad enough, but his left!
In spite of the event of potentially calamitous proportions, however, it surprised even the guitarist himself how little it affected him. “I’m not saying I’m glad I had the stroke, but I never would have thought my life could feel this good afterwards.” As part of the transformation his life had undergone was the fact he’d lost weight, a ton of it. “It just feels good not to be tubby anymore,” he explained. I’ll bet the blood vessels in his brain are of the same opinion.
