Your Taste

And drinking down a draught of you
Reminds me of these things:
A summer morning’s sparkling dew,
The wine of queens and kings,

The nectar on the slender tongue
Of any butterfly
And all the raindrops that are hung
Beneath a leaden sky.

And yet your taste’s ten times as sweet
As any sticky jam;
It makes me perfect and complete
And proves to me I am.

Yet, though your taste’s what I adore,
It leaves me wanting more, more, more.
