“Good Enough”

I’ve solved some problems that were tough
But never understood
What’s meant by being “good enough”
When I’m already good.

Why crawl along the earthen floor
When I’m the sky above?
Why let my fear come to the fore
When I’m unbounded love?

It’s clear, though, if the self is seen
As something less than whole,
That pride is forced to prance and preen
To hide its lack of soul.

And yet why wish upon a star?
You can’t become that which you are.
