Success is like a game we play
That’s never out of trend.
We sit and hope to win the day
Before we reach the end.
And so we make a lot of plans
And think how it’ll feel
When we have got a lot of fans
And fortune spins its wheel.
And yet the meaning of success
Is not some far-off goal;
It’s seeing that your life’s a mess
Yet knowing that you’re whole.
And that’s exactly what I do
Whenever I’m alone with you.
