And, when I rest in being,
I feel the warmth of you
And find myself agreeing
With everything you do:
The way you bend the willow
Is such a lovely sight;
When fluffing up my pillow,
You wish me nighty-night;
And, even when ignoring
The love I feel inside,
You’re righteous and adoring
As any would-be bride.
I couldn’t be more cheerful
Despite my being tearful.
