The thread on which my life suspends
Is glinting in the sun;
No matter how my journey ends,
I’ve had my share of fun;
And had my share of sorrow, too;
They travel hand-in-hand;
And yet I think I always knew
That that goes with the land.
And here exudes a sense of peace
That spreads throughout my soul
And doesn’t wait for life to cease
But carries out its role.
And, when the thread of being breaks,
I’ll see what difference being makes.
