So now you’re feeling not too bad,
Although you can’t say good;
You’ve ditched the age-old plan you had
To do the best you could.
You roam the streets from day to day
And sleep quite well at night.
And, though you’ve not a thing to say,
That’s more than just all right.
You’ll step off life’s stupendous cliff
And so be lost from view
And never ask yourself what if
You’d made a man of you,
Since, in the end, that’s but a thought
That nought but ageless death has wrought.
