It isn’t that your love’s worn thin;
It’s deeper than before –
Not simply etched upon your skin
But way down in your core.
Perhaps you miss a thrill or two –
A smile, a wave, a touch –
But what are they to one like you?
They’re nonsenses as such.
What matters more (it matters most)
Is feeling you belong,
For there’s no border, limit, coast.
(That couldn’t be more wrong.)
The only thing beneath the sun
Is knowing one plus one is one.
