You feel as if you’re heading for a cliff;
The drop-off’s only seven days away.
Foreboding’s made your supple tongue go stiff
And robbed your mind of anything to say.
You’ve tried to tell yourself that you don’t care;
It’s not as if your world’s about to end.
So what if you’re obliged to fight for air
And haven’t got a one to call your friend?
And yet you know it matters very much;
You always strive to do your level best.
And not to breaks your heart with just one touch
And makes you feel as if you’ve failed each test.
And yet you’ve still got seven days to find
A way to reassure your anxious mind.
