I used to think I had it made.
I was highly prized and highly paid.
I used to think I had it all.
Fortune came whenever I would call.
I had fast cars, fast women, too.
There was nothing that I couldn’t do.
I ruled the sky.
There was no one more like God than I.

But then I made this big mistake.
My perfect world began to reel and shake.
My only hope was that no one
Would realise what I had gone and done.
But then they did. They found me out.
I’ve got nothing to complain about.
I was at fault.
All at once, my life came to a halt.

Make no mistake, now, people.

I quit my job, my family, too.
I couldn’t stand the thought that they all knew.
My friends all struck a soothing tone.
All I wanted was to be alone.
So now I sit beside a lake
And think about the next move I should make.
I feel so down.
I think I’ll wade into the lake and drown.
