On a Cold and Frosty Morning
On a cold and frosty morning,
I am walking, trudging through the snow.
Nowhere else to go.
Flakes are falling all around me.
Makes the world look such a pretty sight
If you’re into white.
On and on and on I go,
Ever onward through falling snow.
On and on and on I go,
Where I’m going, though, I don’t know.
By the roadside, trees are freezing.
Trunks are shivering, branches bending low,
Weighed down by the snow.
Down the lane, there comes a woman.
Drawing closer, she hangs down her head. (Hello.)
Nothing more is said.
On and on and on I go,
Ever onward through falling snow.
On and on and on I go,
Where I’m going, though, I don’t know.
Not that anyone knows
Where their path in life goes.
Not that I really care.
I’ll know where when I get there.
Now my way comes to a crossroads.
Something tells me I’ve been here before –
Maybe in the war.
That was when I had a future.
I don’t know, though, if I’ll still have one
When the day is done.
On and on and on I go,
Ever onward through falling snow.
On and on and on I go,
Where I’m going, though, I don’t know.
Not that anyone knows
Where their path in life goes.
Not that I really care.
I’ll know where when I get there.
When I get there.
When I get there.
But now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here, here, here.
And now I’m here, here, here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
And now I’m here.
