Non-Duality

War is hell; so, too, is peace,
Though at a fraction of the price,
But neither one can grant release
To those in search of paradise.

And that’s because it can’t be found;
It isn’t something “over there”.
It’s plain to see – just look around –
That paradise is everywhere.

That’s not to say that it exists;
That’s not the way it gets things done.
In one of fate’s more subtle twists,
The sum of all its parts is none.

This ancient mystery can’t be solved,
Yet, through its goodness, life’s evolved.
