Wholeness

We’re raised to think to be complete
We need to take control,
And so we kick and stamp our feet
But fail to reach our goal.

It isn’t that our wills are weak,
Or else we lack the time;
We’d never scale that mountain peak
If all we did was climb.

Although it might sound strange to some –
Too fanciful by far –
We aren’t intended to become
What we already are.

And, even if we “go astray”,
We’re pure perfection anyway.
