In vain, some hunt for happiness
In steak and kidney pies,
While others hope for more success
Between sex workers’ thighs.
Some say the sight of any whale
Will take their cares away,
While others need a yard of ale
To make it through the day.
And others think it all depends
On staying in the black,
While some conspire to stab their friends,
In both the front and back.
Though happiness seems very rare,
It’s known by all who are aware.
