Through all the sad and angry tears
That anyone could cry,
A child of only seven years
Expressed the wish to die.
Although its frantic parents tried
To steer another route,
It made a case for suicide
Which they could not dispute.
And that’s the way it has to be
When ego runs the show,
For, when opposing views agree,
There’s nowhere else to go.
And, if it can’t be in the right,
The ego bids the world goodnight.
