And every single sight and sound,
Each thought and feeling going,
What’s in the air and on the ground –
They’re all, in essence, knowing.
And knowing knowing is the height
Of each begun endeavour;
It’s everybody’s equal right
And shall be theirs forever.
But, on the road from day to day,
It’s often lost from vision,
And then the mind is apt to stray
In terms of its precision.
It takes no time, though, getting back;
You know you’ve drifted off the track.
