And I’m the light behind the veil,
That’s always shining through.
And, though it’s thought I’m bound to fail,
In fact, I never do.
For luminescence is the stuff
Of which my being’s made.
As such, I always have enough
Of that to never fade.
And, if a shadow ever falls
Between the world and me,
I’m like a one who soon recalls
That they can’t not be free.
And then the light I’m made of gleams
And throws off incandescent beams.
