Although I built myself a wall
And lived in “splendid” isolation,
I didn’t feel secure at all
But shook with utter trepidation.
And all because I thought I saw
Impending doom in all directions,
And every dagger, tooth and claw
Was bent on tearing me in sections.
It’s taken me a deal of years
Of living in the utmost terror
To realise that all my fears
Were based upon a single error:
I’m not a one that can be harmed
But everlasting, sacred, charmed.
