Peace

I don’t seek means to test my strength –
Attacking others left and right
Or going to the utmost length
To crush the world with all my might.

Instead, I know that what I am
Is strength itself and no mistake,
And I don’t need to force or ram
An open door for struggle’s sake.

And, if I do encounter one
(As in this world, I’m bound to do)
Who thinks that conflict’s jolly fun,
I’ll know that they’re pacific, too.

Although they wrangle, kick and spar,
They’ve just forgotten what they are.
