Northern Lights

I went to see the northern lights
And glad I took the chance,
As, through a week of starry nights,
I watched them swirl and dance.

Yet, even if I hadn’t gone
Or cloud had blocked the sky,
My being would have carried on
Without a single sigh.

Although I strive to have success
And sidestep every scam,
No thing can make me more or less
That what I truly am.

I’m that which knows I’m that which knows,
Regardless where the journey goes.
