The face of God is neither old
Nor hidden by a beard,
And, though it’s oftentimes been told,
It’s nothing to be feared.
It’s simply that which is perceived
By sight/sound/smell/taste/touch.
That’s nothing which need be believed;
It’s clear as day, as such.
And those who question what’s behind
This world of many things
Will find the glory of God’s mind
And fell the joy it brings,
And know that they’re as much a part
Of that as is God’s very heart.
