I wandered in the then and there,
Existing “anyhow”,
And, since I didn’t know to care,
Ignored the here and now.
I stumbled over standing stones
And tumbled over gates;
In spite of which, I broke no bones,
Though in the worst of states.
But, in the darkness of my days,
There shone a lasting light;
No sooner than I’d changed my ways,
I saw it burning bright.
So now I act in view of it
And don’t regret it, not one bit.
