Celebration

So let the people celebrate
In sheer euphoric ways.
Before they know that it’s too late,
They’ll see much darker days.

Due gravity shall bring them down,
And sickness pay a call,
And, when they’re driven out of town,
They’ll have no fun at all.

Relationships shall meet their end
And hunger do the rounds,
And each shall kill their closest friend
And feed them to the hounds.

So let the people sing their song.
God knows they won’t be singing long.
