“If God’s so great,” the snide intone
And hope to cause a rift,
“Then why can’t He create a stone
Which He’s too weak to lift?
And if He can’t,” they further say,
“Then He can’t be so great.
Yet, if He can, he’s had his day
Since he can’t lift the weight?”
I say, “God’s greatness isn’t based
On lifting stones or not;
He doesn’t have the time to waste
To show the strength He’s got.
And yet He’s patient, wise and good
And smiles on those who think He should.”
