I only saw your eyes,
But that was all it took
To make me realise
The way that love must look.
Like pebbles on the sand,
They glinted in the sun,
And helped me understand
That everything was one.
And, when you turned away
And walked towards the door,
I knew your eyes would stay
With me for evermore.
Although you’ve long since gone,
Your eyes stay further on.
