I’m killing time until I die,
But that’s no way to live,
When, like the sun up in the sky,
I’ve got so much to give.
And so I put my burden down
And lend a helping hand
And plant a garden in the town
And plough and till the land
And bring the outcasts to the fold
And make each one my friend,
And, doing so, I find the gold
At every rainbow’s end.
As such, I can’t imagine how
There’s anything besides the now.
