The Sleeper

I love you for so many things,
And now I’ve got one more.
I love your smile, your wit, your rings,
And now I love your snore.

It starts off like a gentle breeze
That soon becomes a gale.
I think that it could match with ease
The love song of a whale.

No sooner have you started, though,
Your snoring disappears,
And then your breathing’s soft and low –
More music to my ears!

To lie beside the sleeping you
Is all I ever want to do.
