Natural Order

How meagre an emotion
To feel I’m but a drop
In some great, cosmic ocean –
And nowhere near the top!

And yet, before depression
Incites a toxic yen,
I shelve my self-obsession
And look at it again.

The fact I’m even living
Is proof of God’s largesse
Which simply keeps on giving
With ever more finesse.

So what if I’m so small?
I’m one with one and all.
